Floral Painting – Limited Edition Print

I was commissioned to paint “something pretty with lots of full flowers” and given a reference of a repeating pattern with bees included from a sample of wallpaper. I decided the rigidity of the pattern wouldn’t give the effect the client wanted and so set about investigating flowers and deciding what would work well together.

This was a labour of love – large canvas, small paintbrush to get the effect I wanted, but it was a beautiful project to work on and there were even times when I could smell flowers really strongly.
