This is the second in a series of landmark paintings that I’ve been commissioned to do. It’s easy to fall into the trap of grey building against a blue sky when tackling something like this, so I wanted to make sure I chose a good combination of times and building styles to keep the finished product looking interesting. Kirkstall Abbey is one of my favourite Leeds landmarks, and it really helps that I live about a two minute walk away. This was dawn and I was amazed by the colours.
This is piece two of seventeen, so keep your eyes peeled for when I post the finished portfolio.
Sorry – this piece has either sold or was a commission with no prints.
But don’t despair! While I won’t ever recreate the exact same artwork, I can do something similar, so get in touch and let me know what you’re after.
